I’m happy to post that we have chosen a date for me to be presented my local minister’s license through my church. That date is Sunday, October 25 during the service that Sunday.
This is the first main step in my progress towards becoming an ordained pastor of the church.
First, I got voted on by our church board to receive a “local minister’s license”, which is what I’ll be receiving later this month. The local license is basically an endorsement by my local church in my process to become a pastor. Next, I start school to receive my B.A. Ministry with a minor in Pastoral Studies, which technically also starts later this month. Then, the final step comes after having my local license as a local minister in my church for a year and completing 1/4 of my schooling, I become eligible to receive my ministerial license through our District.
So, the moral of the story is that later this month, I will receive my first of two ministry licenses, and in roughly 13-14 months, I’ll hopefully be receiving my second license and become ordained, then I will just have to finish my school adventure.
I’d really appreciate having whoever can be there for me on Sunday, October 25. The Church is located at 530 W 53rd St. in Anderson.
