Two weeks from tomorrow is my first “class.” I used the quote marks because it technically isn’t a class, it’s their online orientation, which is basically a class to help familiarize me with how the online learning platform works and how to be successful.
Also, the reason for the title of this post, I just ordered my FIRST books for this upcoming Winter term, for a cool $166 for FOUR BOOKS! Luckily I’m able to charge these towards my student account which is well covered by my Pell Grant, my grant through the church district, student loans, etc.
So, I guess this whole thing is really real and I’m actually about to make a college attempt after miraculously surviving a stroke. 🤷 I’ll be honest, the odds are stacked against me, I know, but I thrive by proving that stigma wrong.
